Admissions

Admission procedure is as per the rules and regulations of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Fifty percentage of the seats of PG and UG courses are filled by the University through the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) and the remaining seats by the management. Allotment of seats under merit quota is governed by a Centralized Allotment Process. Selection / Allotment of a candidate to the college will be based on the rank of the candidate and the availability of seats. The prospectus on Centralized Allotment Process will be available in the portal: cap.mgu.ac.in. There is only a single application form for applying for admission to the U.G. Degree Programmes in various affiliated colleges.

1. The college rules are intented to preserve a happy and harmonious atmosphere for all those living and working in the college.It is therefore essential that all members have due regard for the rights of others.
2. Ragging in any form is strictly forbidden by law.The students should not be found involved in ragging.
3. Mobile phones and usage of drugs are strictly prohibited in the college premises.
4. The students should fulfill the minimum required attendance for every programme both theory and practical.
5.All students shall make sure that they are in full uniform on all working days.They should wear their identity badges while on the campus.
6. Political activities are not encouraged in the campus
7. The student should help in maintaining the buildings and campus of the institute clean and tidy and maintain overall ambience.
8. To supervise and promote general discipline, a Disciplinary Committee, Anti-Ragging Cell and a Grievance Redressal Cell function in the college.
9. Students must abide by the rules and regulations framed by the institute. Studets are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a manner that befits the image and goodwill of the institution.

Scholarships Instituted by the Central/ State Government:

Post-matric Scholarship

 Post-matric Scholarship for Students Belonging to the Minority Communities

State Scholarship

Eligibility: 50% marks or above in the plus two or B.A., B.Sc. examination. Students who have passed the qualifying examination during the previous year can also apply. The student who receive this scholarship is not allowed to receive any other scholarship. The annual income of parents/guardians of the students of degree course should not exceed Rs. 3000/- respectively. Scholarship amount for degree course is Rs. 500/- per annum.

Govt. of India National Scholarship (Merit)

Eligibility: First class in the qualifying examination. Those who top the merit list within the quota allotted to the state will be eligible, subject to certain conditions. Those who have passed the qualifying examination in the year prior to the year of award will not be eligible. Students enjoying any other scholarship or stipend will not be considered for the award but they can enjoy fee concession.

Govt. of India Scholarship to the physically handicapped students

Eligibility: candidates should submit their applications in the prescribed from along with the required documents such as medical certificate, income certificate and certificate to prove age and educational qualification. Photograph is needed in the case of orthopedically handicapped applicants only.
