St. Mary’s College, Thuruthiply organised an MVD Traffic Awareness Class on 24 July 2026 at 11:00 AM at the College Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted in association with the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD), Kerala and the Lions Club, Perumbavoor, with the objective of creating awareness among students about road safety and responsible traffic behaviour.

The chief guest was Mr. Biju Issac, Regional Transport Officer (Enforcement), Ernakulam, and the class led by K G Dileep Kumar(MVI(RTD)). He provided valuable information on traffic rules, road safety measures, responsible driving practices, the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, and the consequences of violating traffic regulations.

The collaboration between the MVD, Kerala, Lions Club Perumbavoor, and St. Mary’s College, Thuruthiply made the programme meaningful and effective. The session concluded successfully with a renewed commitment among the students to follow traffic rules and promote a culture of road safety.
