The Commerce Association (OASIS) and the Management Association (PRAYANA) of St. Mary’s College of Commerce & Management Studies, Thuruthiply, jointly organized a Workshop on Disaster Management on 23 July 2026 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the College Seminar Hall. The workshop was conducted with the objective of equipping students with essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively during natural and man-made disasters.

The workshop was conducted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). The resource person, Team Commander Inspector Arun Kumar Chauhan, delivered an informative and engaging session on disaster preparedness, emergency response, rescue operations, and community safety. He explained the importance of disaster risk reduction, early warning systems, evacuation procedures, first aid, and coordinated rescue efforts during emergencies such as floods, landslides, earthquakes, and fire accidents.
